Orchardwood Lending is a loan broker in Athens, TN. This page sets out its role in a business funding request, who decides, and where the numbers on the site come from.
Orchardwood Lending's role, the funding partners' role, the request form, and the data behind the site.
What part Orchardwood Lending plays in a funding request
Orchardwood Lending takes a description of what a business needs, by phone or through the request form, and passes it to independent funding partners. It acts as a broker between the business and those partners. It does not lend its own money, and no page on this site is an offer of credit.
Funding partners make every credit decision and set every term
Whether a request is funded, for how much, at what cost, over what term and with what collateral is decided by the funding partner alone, after its own review. A partner may decline a request. The cost of any funding appears only in a partner's written offer, and the business owner decides whether to accept it.
The request form is not a credit application
Sending the form shares contact details, the company name, time in business, annual revenue and the amount requested. It does not apply for credit. A funding partner may check business or personal credit during its own review, which begins only if a partner takes the request up.
Where the county figures and worked examples on this site come from
Counts of establishments, employees and payroll come from the U.S. Census Bureau: County Business Patterns and ZIP Code Business Patterns for 2023, Nonemployer Statistics for 2024, and the American Community Survey 2020-2024 five-year estimates. County figures describe McMinn County, TN and ZIP figures describe the ZIP Code area, not the city of Athens. Dollar examples marked as invented are illustrations computed from stated assumptions; their rates are not quotes or offers.
